High School GraduationRequirements include successful completion of 22 units of credit. One (1) credit of Career and Technical Education (CTE) or Fine Arts is mandatory.Dual EnrollmentCTE students can receive college credit for courses taken in their high school setting. These courses are offered at the high school and taught by high school teachers with community college certification and will earn students both high school credit and college credit. There will be a community college tuition fee for these courses. Not all CTE courses are dual-enrolled. Students must check with their instructors to see if this opportunity is available.CTE Signature Programs*Some programs are offered on specific high school campuses but open to any ¼â½ÐÊÓƵapp high school student interested in enrolling. If a student is traveling between two locations the schedule must reflect travel time and all students are responsible for following the attendance guidelines on each campus. Students must complete theWest-MEC Central Programs*A variety of CTE programs are offered at off-site locations through West-MEC: Aesthetics, Air Conditioning Technology, Collision Repair and Refinishing, Automotive Technology, Aviation Maintenance Technology, Avionics/ Drone Electronics, Biomedical Science, Coding, Culinary Arts, Dental Assisting, Drone Technology, Electrical Trade Specialty, Emergency Medical Technology (EMT), Energy & Engineering Technology, Environmental Sustainability. Fire Science, General Construction Technology, Hairstyling, IT Security, Law & Public Safety, Medical Assisting, Medium/Heavy Diesel Technology, Pharmacy Science, Physical Therapy, Precision Machining, Powersports Technology, Veterinary Science, and Welding Technology. Students must complete a and ¼â½ÐÊÓƵapp travel form.CTE Internships*Learning is not limited to the classroom. Internship opportunities are supervised work-based learning experiences in a paid or unpaid position within the CTE program of study. The CTE internship provides on-the-job experience and valuable industry networking. Students must complete the .* The participating student will be responsible for their own transportation and the parent/guardian agrees to assume liability for travel to and from the facility.
